Malena Solda starred in many films and TV series. She specialized in Classical Acting at
LAMDA (London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts). As a stage actress she has appeared
extensively in productions on the fringe theatre, commercial and Government run theatres.
She has won Argentina’s mayor awards for her work in films and theatre, together with the
Argentine Association of Writer’s award for her own podcast Fuera de Libreto. This year she
launched Prisma Project. Fiction, performance and society which covers different faces of the
gender perspective, in performatic/virtual proposals, with the financial support of Pro
Helvetia (Switzerland) and Mecenazgo (City of Buenos Aires).
She also manages her own theatrical projects with which she has toured, made international
agreements, co-productions, seasons in fringe theatre, commercial and Government funded
theatres of the City of Buenos Aires.
In 2019 she directed the children play “Ritmo” and she is presently preparing (both as a
director and actress) Federico Garcia Lorca´s play “El Retablillo de Don Cristobal”.
In the area of the sound universe she directed actors in various podcasts and took part as an
actress in different ones as well. This year she is going to play the leading part in Julie Gilbert’s
play “I’m not Nina Simone’s daughter” in its radio drama version.
